Although our products are now manufactured in the United States, we continue to adhere to the most stringent Australian standards. Photostable Broad Spectrum Protection
All of our products offer broad photostable UVA/UVB protection, protecting from UV radiation between 280 - 400 nanometers.

Mineral-based
Zinc Oxide is the very best ingredient for protecting throughout the UVA spectrum, and dermatologists recommend products with at least 5% Zinc Oxide. All of our products have at least 6% Z-Cote Zinc Oxide. Z-Cote is a patented process of micronizing and coating Zinc Oxide to allow for an optimal dispersion of the mineral for an even barrier against UV rays.

SPF 30+
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor, and it is a measure of the effectiveness of a sunscreen against UVB rays. Every Blue Lizard formula is SPF 30+, offering more than 30 times your skin's natural protection against UVB rays. If you are applying correctly, SPF 30 is all you need, and SPF 30+ is as high as Australian Standards will allow a sunscreen to claim!

Water Resistance
In the United States, the highest standards for water resistance are 80 minutes in still water. Our Very Water Resistant Regular and Sport formulas meet the most stringent Australian Standards which are 240 minutes in whirlpool water, making them over three times as water resistant!
