Sutter Home Chenin Blanc is a wonderful alternative white wine, offering delicate citrus and apple blossom aromas with vivid fruit flavors. Tart green apple, rich peach, juicy pear, and ripe melon mingle on the palate, perfectly balanced by crisp acidity on the finish. Bright and refreshing, our Chenin Blanc complements a wide variety of foods, but is especially delicious with Mediterranean salads, smoked salmon, rich pork dishes, and spicy Asian or Indian cuisine.
Vineyard Notes
Our Chenin Blanc is made from grapes harvested from premier vineyards throughout California, including the prestigious North Coast and Delta regions and Lake County, where the fruit develop vivid, juicy flavors.
Winemaker Notes
To retain the fresh, fruity character of our Chenin Blanc, winemakers gently press the grapes in tank presses, then cold-ferment the juice. Afterwards, the wine is aged entirely in stainless steel tanks and finished in a semi-dry style. The result is a brisk, refreshing, fruity wine.
